Knowing a good deal about San Jose Internet marketing, I’m aware of a few tricks that the average site designer and marketing consultant isn’t. For example, consider search engine optimization tailored to San Jose. It can be done, and indeed should be done if you have a San Jose-based business and want to drum up local visibility in your particular area.
For example, consider the basic root of good SEO: keyword choice. It might seem simple enough to just hop on to Google AdWords, grab the most relevant keywords that you see available, and build your site from there.
However, be sure to remember that different people like different things — that they even think differently. It’s as true with keyword searches as with any other kind of information.
Keywords can be searched not only by category, but by region, state and even city, as well. So if you have a San Jose-based business, you need to optimize based on the region you’re in.
Another aspect is, of course, the highly-useful Google Places Profile feature. Having a well-made, SEO-centered Profile, or what I refer to as Google Places Optimization, is a key part of getting your business noted and recognized in local search engine results. But this kind of Profile is about so much more than simply letting people know where your business is located. Having a Google Places Optimization Profile set with similar and related keywords to your site’s contents is a good step, as is having all the critical information to contact you and a good picture of your business. There is also a new way to promote the visibility of your Places Profile using Google’s Boost Ads. This new program Google has been promoting recently is another way to get visibility in addition to Google Adwords.
The point of all this is that information is always context-sensitive, and that’s where my expertise comes in. I can help you relate your business to the context of San Jose, and build you a marketing program that will help you set yourself apart in search engine results.
